Copyright and takedown requests

We publish our own commissioned photography and facts drawn from operator press material and open data. If you hold rights in something on this site, or a listing about your center is wrong, ask us to take it down or fix it. Good-faith requests are honoured — we would rather remove a picture than argue about one.

How a request is handled

  1. Step 1

    You file the request

The form below reaches our editorial queue. Nothing is published, and the request is not readable from the public site.

  2. Step 2

We review within five working days

We check what we hold for that image or passage: which bucket it came from, and what permission we relied on.

  3. Step 3

    We remove or explain

If the claim is sound, or if we cannot document our own rights, the material comes down. Otherwise we write back with the basis we relied on.

  4. Step 4

    You can escalate

Disagree with the outcome? Reply to our decision and a second reviewer looks at it before it closes.

Our sourcing rules — what we use, and the permission each class of material rests on — are set out on the image sourcing page.
