The mid-October weekend is the first deep outlet cut of the season. Autumn apparel that has been on the floor since August gets marked down to make room for holiday deliveries.
Most outlet centres extend hours and layer a centre-wide percentage on top of store sales. Doorbuster stock is limited and thin on sizes by mid-morning, so the early hours matter more here than in-mall.
Outlet brands increasingly run their online clearance in parallel with the store event on Cyber Monday. Price-check before driving: the same previous-season line is often cheaper delivered.
From Boxing Day to the first week of January, outlet stores cut winter coats, boots and knitwear hardest. Stock is broken but restocks from mall-store returns land through the first weekend.
Mid-February is the last real winter cut. Whatever is left of coats and boots is priced to move, and spring deliveries begin appearing on the same floor.
