What Neiman Marcus discounts in this center
Anchors are the only mall tenants that mark down continuously. Every store keeps a permanent clearance floor (usually the top level or the back corner), reduced in stages: 25%, then 40%, then 50-60%, then a final take-an-extra-30%-at-the-register pass.

The tactic that works here
Walk the clearance floor first and check the ticket date. Anything with two markdown stickers is on the last pass and will not be reduced again before it leaves the floor.
Discount levels are an editorial guide to a brand's typical market position and the usual gap to its outlet stores — not a quote for any specific item. Outlet stock is normally previous season or made-for-outlet.

Independently owned centers keep their offers at the concierge or information desk rather than running a national programme. Ask on arrival — it is rarely signposted.
- 30-40% Anniversary, 40-60% Half-YearlyJuly, late May, late December
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and Half-Yearly
The Anniversary Sale in July discounts new-season stock before it goes to full price — the reverse of a normal clearance — and cardholders get early access. The Half-Yearly sales in late May and late December are conventional clearance at 40-60%.

Macy's One Day Sale and coupon stacking
Macy's runs One Day Sale weekends roughly monthly, and the 'extra 20% off' wallet coupon usually stacks on sale prices in apparel while excluding cosmetics and most designer brands. Clearance racks at the back move to a further percentage off at the end of each month.
